Wow. This book is one of the first books I have ever read. Firstly I am Someone who struggles to sit and read a book but I could not put this book down. I have recommended this book to all of my friends and family. I love that I could see into Jessica’s mindset and read exactly what she was feelings thought out situations. It’s help me understand the way I do things and why Neurodivergent people often experience differences in mental function, sensory processing, communication and behaviour's. Thank you for writing such a inspiring book.

Essential reading for the AuDHD

If you have been late diagnosed with autism/adhd or both (like me) and you also have a child on the spectrum (like me) then this is a fantastic personal account of both as well as having really informative advice as well. The author does a great job breaking down the whole process of diagnosis and understanding yourself and the world around you and your relationships when you are a person who has always felt “different” and waited so long to get the reason why. Most women are diagnosed only after we learn everything to help our children and we have to adapt on both fronts. The community is bigger than we think!

This book was so insightful regarding neurodiversity. With having family members with Autism and ADHD I found this book very informative. It made me think of ways I could support/help them in ways I had never thought of before. It also made me understand them better, I think it will help so many families reading this due to the nature of the book.

The Autistic Mom by Jessica Whalley is one of the most honest and heartfelt memoirs I've ever read. Jessica opens up about her journey of being diagnosed with Autism and ADHD at the age of 38, and it's both eye-opening and deeply personal. Her struggles with mental health, the pressures of parenting a child with the same conditions, and the reasons she chose to seek assessment for herself are laid out in a way that's incredibly relatable.I loved reading about her dedication to her non-verbal son, diagnosed with Autism at just 3 years old. Jessica's commitment to helping him reach his full potential while balancing her own mental health is inspiring. She doesn't sugarcoat the stress and anxiety that comes with it, making this book feel real and raw.
